5 minute friday!
Consider the name of the father. Consider the name above every other name. Not only in the desperate times, but in the moments of joyful abundance. Do we only call on the beautiful name of our father when times are uneven when they are hard? When rocks cut our feet and we fall? Do we consider that the joys in life are brighter when He is along with us or do we hide His name in our pocket when we go out to the store? Do we hide His name from gracing our lips when we speak to others?
Do we hide the conceal His name above all other names? The name of Jesus. Let us agree together, not to do this.
Each moment in our lives we have a choice, a choice to share who He is. To plant seeds of mercy, grace and forgiveness. A choice to let others know that His Name is ultimate love, blessed compassion, the found joy in our walk. That the Holy Spirit that He sent down as He rose up is here with us and we now have access to the mind of Christ Jesus.
Does your neighbor know that His name is in your heart? Do we portray Him well? Do we produce His good fruits? Are we helping others understand the wisdom of God and His loving nature? Are we producing so much fruit that it can be picked daily? Are we living a life modeled after Him?
What about our children? Do they understand they are loved more by Him than anyone else? Do our children see the beautiful colors, taste the vibrant fruit we are producing or is beginning to show signs of breaking down and filled with holes from the bugs that are eating it?
Don’t let your fruit be eaten up by the world, instead produce so much that it affects everyone around you, including yourself. How can we possibly do this in the world today?
It all starts with Him, knowing Him, knowing the heart of the King and becoming His son or daughter. By having His name upon our heart and within our spirit… this is where it begins.
If this is where it begins, how can we be sure to keep Him in the center? See, it I not about religion or certain gifts we may-- or any other thing like that. It is personal, He is a personal God and He gave us a choice. He loved us so much, He gave us a choice, and it starts with a relationship with the Father.
It starts with getting alone with Him, worshiping, reading and praying---not in front of others, but just you and Him. Have you given everything in your life to Him? Have you surrendered it all. These three things will draw us near, but it starts with that step, our surrender. We need to be so close that when we do walk out of our home, of our set spaces…we have His name overflowing from within. Overflowing so much that we can see the opportunities He brings to us to share who He truly is. He is the truth, and like scriptures says, the truth will set you free.
